Executive Team
Des O'Mahony PhD (Chief Executive Officer & Co-founder)
Responsible for strategy and research. Involved with web technology since the early 90's, he is a Chartered Physicist and holds a PhD in Physics. He was the Irish Internet Association's "Netvisionary" winner for online trade in 2005 and received an eircom Golden Spider award for web design.
Robert Whittle PhD (Chief Technology Officer & Co-founder)
Chief developer and is responsible for technology and server systems, as well as security. He holds a PhD in Physics and has worked in web technology since its foundation in the early 90's.
Yahya Fetchati (Chief Operating Officer)
Former Director of Hotel Partner Marketing at Lastminute.com and former Managing Director of Hotels for Europe at Hotels.com. He is oversees operations of all Bookassist offices.
Karen Fives (Founder & Director of Development)
Responsible for project management and heads the development team for the Bookassist system, both in-house monitoing and administration systems as well as hotel-based technology. She holds degrees in Physics and Systems Analysis.
Kieran Fives (Founder & Director)
Graduate of Shannon College of Hotel Management and held numerous hospitality industry positions prior to joining Bookassist in 1999. He heads Sales & Operations strategy.
Eva Reyero (Head of Web Design)
Oversees branded channel distribution for Bookassist and is responsible for market research, marketing and public relations for the company in Spain. She holds degrees in Marketing and Design.
Mary Collins (Head of Internet Marketing)
Responsbile for web implementation, affiliate partnerships and overall Traffic Builder and Site Builder strategy in all Bookassist offices. She holds degrees in Physics and in Management.
Vivian Kelly (Financial Controller)
Responsible for finance in all offices. He is an associate of the Irish Institute of Taxation and also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland.
Scotland Management
Ian McCaig (Operations Manager)
Responsible for operations and market development in Scotland Ian is Graduate in Hotel Management from QMC in Edinburgh with an MBA following it some years later. The operation in Scotland draws from a team with wide experience in hospitality and tourism management, marketing and business development across the country.
